With today’s technology, there are several different methods that allow us to potentially lift or support a unstable residential or commercial concrete foundations.
Certain soil conditions may not be stable enough to support the structure you want to build. Our helical piles will be installed into deep stable soils to distribute the loads. Foundation can then be placed on the less desirable soils above.
Piling Systems utilizes hydraulic lift systems which are attached to foundation anchors in multiple locations along a sinking foundation to provide support and possible elevation recovery.
Tie-Backs and wall anchors provide supplemental lateral force to prevent wall movement or to help stabilize retaining walls.
There are multiple applications in which we can provide support in unstable ground, such as solar panels, towers, boardwalks, decks, street lights and pipelines.
We can conduct pile load tests during piling installations to analyze compression capacities of load bearing strata. This ensures that the foundation will be stable upon construction. These tests are generally used on commercial work at the discretion of the owner or engineer of record.
Choosing the Correct Method for Concrete Foundation Repair
Before deciding on a repair method, Piling Systems first determines what is causing the distress. We examine moldings and trim boards, mortar joints in brick veneer, and windows in low areas for clues. Also we take note of recent weather. Unusually dry or wet weather can cause problems in the underlying soil. Old construction documents are also of great benefit if available.
Upon inspection of your foundation issues, Piling Systems will be able to assess which repair method is best suited for your specific situation.
